Misery by train

We had to get up way earlier than I would have liked because my train was at 8:38.  We went and ate a quick breakfast, gathered the last of my things, and then had the hotel call a cab for us!  It was a little rainy and I did not want to walk in it with all of my stuff!

Nick went to the train station with me naturally, and then he was going to walk back.  When we arrived, we still had some time so we stood inside, to avoid what was annoyingly cold weather.  I was really dreading leaving.  Of course we had to go out to the platform at some point, so we did so with about 5 or 6 minutes to spare.  When the train came we had to RUSH down to my car because it was the very last one; we were basically running.  He was able to help me get my stuff on the train and then of course I started crying!  He was standing in the door, but mostly on the platform, and I was mostly on the train!  I lost it of course and could not stop crying, and Nick was even fighting back tears!  I hate leaving...questo non mi piace!! I went to get my seat, and relaxed into the nice train that was taking me to Naples.  I rested quite a bit and worked on blogs.  I also wrote postcards to people and wrote some in my journal that Nick gave me in Rome for my birthday!

When we arrived in Naples, I went to get a sandwich from the "honeymoon spot" (aka the cafe there),
and then found a place to mail my postcards!
Then I went to eat my sandwich and wait on the train, only to discover that the train was already there, and so I decided to go get a seat.  The train slowly filled up, which I did NOT care for at all.  I was able to talk to Nick quite a bit.  There was one point where we were SO crammed in because of luggage, etc. that I wanted to cry!  My butt bones were hurting, my knees were getting twisted and started hurting, and I just started feeling claustrophobic, and I was MISERABLE!!  I eventually had to ask the man next to me to put my suitcase up top and that made a world of difference.  I felt much better!  I was just feeling so icky, achy, and not good!  I was also really tired and was starting to feel congested and started coughing...NOT GOOD!  I talked to my momma a little bit, and then Nick on and off.  I will NEVER AGAIN take this kind of train from Naples to Cosenza; it was so long and miserable.  It did go directly to Cosenza, which was nice...but for real...it was miserable.  When we first left Naples, I did notice that the water was really rough, and the same was true closer to Paola, etc.

The water was still a beautiful color though, as usual.  At one point they were checking tickets AGAIN, and I was so dead the world (asleep) that the controllare had to wake me up! Haha...That is when I realized how sick I was beginning to feel!  I ate some of my conversation hearts that Andrea gave me,
and also took a picture of my beautiful gift from Nick!!!
When I arrived in Cosenza I had to wait about 30 minutes for the bus, and witnessed some...umm...interesting people at the bus station.  Once I got home, it was SO nice to just sit on my own bed, however uncomfortable it seems at times, it is 1000x better than that train!  I was feeling really sick at this point though! I decided to do something really out of character for me: I unpacked.  I NEVER unpack immediately!  Then I prepped for tomorrow; lesson plans, etc.  and then put some pictures on facebook!

All of my Florence purchases:
Romeo e Giulietta (Te')
I told everyone that it existed!
Purse, tea, jam, and leather keychain
E poi, I went to bed!

Miss Nick already!
