This morning we got up, but did not get up too early, and went to have breakfast before we headed out to see more of the city! Nick wanted to show me the area around the University because this is where he spent the majority of his time in Bologna! It was a really beautiful area minus all of the graffiti! The idea of graffiti over here is somewhat ridiculous to me! It takes away from the beauty of the countr! Most of the graffiti is just words. Things like “ti amo”, “principess”, etc. etc. Just words…not artwork and it just makes the areas look sketchy! We made a bet on a bottle of wine as we walked…I won that bottle of wine! Yay! As we walked we were able to just talk and enjoy our time; it was nice to just stroll leisurely and enjoy the city!
It was super quiet because school was closed for Easter holidays and therefore a lot of the businesses and things in that area were closed as well. Then Nick took me to show me where he lived while in Bologna. We walked down to his apartment building, and I of course took a picture for him, just as he did for me.
After this we headed back towards one of the main streets to get a cappuccino at the place we stopped yesterday! Our plan for the day was to have gelato for lunch, and then have a bigger dinner. So, we decided that while we were at the café getting a cappuccino, we would split something small. After this we walked for a little bit, but it was not quite as nice of a day as it was yesterday! However, it was still nice enough to be outside and enjoy the day! We went back to the hotel quickly to go to the bathroom and then headed back out.
We were originally headed to get some gelato for "lunch", but we decided to climb the tower first. Apparently if you climb the tower before you graduate from The University, you will fail. So, Nick had never done it. It cost 3 euros, and was a pretty decent climb. There were some really small steps, but it wasn't too bad. I was glad that I had on my flats and not my UGGS. It was quite a few stairs...close to 500.

We went back into the church where we went to church and went to see the Focault's Pendulum, and that was cool! AND this time I was able to take a picture of the chapel where my homepope, Pope Clement(ine) was many, many years ago! I was rather excited about this, and was grateful to Nick for blocking me so that I could take the picture!
We sat around and talked for a while and had some more tea! We talked to April on skype to explain our April Fool's joke, and she was a good sport! :) Yay! I think she still loves me despite the prank we pulled on her! Then we got up and got ready for dinner.
We made reservations earlier at the place we tried first on Easter day. We walked there and when we walked in the restaurant, I heard someone say, "we eat at the same places!" It was the same couple from our first night in Bologna. How weird is that?!? We spoke to them briefly and then took a seat at our table.
For dinner we ordered a bottle of wine, the one that Nick now owed me because he lost the bet, and split three pastas. Well, what they did was give us half portions (really like 1/4 portions) of two pastas and a whole lasagna. It sounds like a lot of food, but it was actually a reasonable amount of pasta. The food was really good, but the lasagna still did not beat the first place from the first evening in Bologna. We had a great time just talking, laughing, people watching, planning Italian adventures, and having a good time like we always do! Mattea started texting us to say that they were going to get gelato with some other girls from their school that are studying in Bologna. So, we agreed to meet them in one of the piazzas afterward because we still had to pay, etc.
When we met them it was starting to rain so we went under one of the overhang thingies and talked. Nick and I ended up talking to Mattea while the other girls talked. We did the whole whispering into the corners of the thing like in Grand Central Station in NYC...so you whisper into one corner and someone in the diagonal corner can hear you! What was funny was that you could see where the walls been rubbed down to a different color from people doing this. After talking for a bit, we all parted ways because Mattea had to get up REALLY early to leave Bologna. It was so good seeing her, and we totally counted this as seeing each other in April; thus, Mattea and I have accomplished our goal of seeing each other once a month! I love this because I love my Mattea!
So, we went back to the hotel, packed up our things, and went to bed! I was already getting REALLY sad about leaving Nick tomorrow...I have a feeling I'll cry again!
