“When it’s raining (or just cloudy) on Sunday”

Sunday was a lazy day!  We literally just laid around and did nothing but talk.  It was so much fun and so wonderful!  I really value Nick’s communicative nature!  We had some Pandoro, and just relaxed.  It was such a simple morning, but a wonderful one!

Andrea, the Rome ETA whose apartment we were staying in, arrived at the station from Gubbio (yes, where Nick lives) around lunch time.  Andrea had been in Gubbio doing research, and she stayed in Nick’s apartment; it was a perfect trade!  So, by the time Andrea arrived at the apartment, we only had a few minutes to talk to her, and then we had to head towards the station so that we would have time to grab a sandwich so that I could catch my 1:45 train.  I was really sad to leave because I knew that I would then have to leave Nick behind at the station.  I should also note that sweet Nick carried my now heavy weekender to the station for me, and yesterday he carried my purse a good bit!  When we got to the station, we went to Mr. Panino, and got sandwiches!  He was even sweet to go switch my sandwich when they got it wrong!  So then we walked to my platform, and that’s when I discovered/remembered that I had a first-class ticket for this train because when I bought it, the cheapest first class was the same as the only second class ticket they had, so why NOT travel first class?? He was so sweet to help me get my things on the train and then we just stood and talked for the last few minutes we had!  Eventually he had to get off the train, but he waited on the platform near my window until my train was gone!  He was so cute and adorable.

Rain to sleep to

Nicest local train I've ridden in the south!  From Paola to Cosenza
The train ride was rather uneventful.  I slept for about 3 ½ hours of the trip, and because first class was relatively empty, I was able to spread out a bit and actually sleep!  When I arrived in Cosenza, Lilla was there waiting on me!  She took me home, and I had oatmeal for dinner, which was amazing!  THEN, I was able to skype with my momma and daddy for a loooong time, which is always nice!  They were watching the Seahawks vs. Atlanta, which Nick was watching here in Italy!  They were all rooting for different teams..I on the other hand only cared about Julio doing well, and I wanted Nick to be happy!  The latter did not happen…but he was a good sport about it!  I ended the night with talking to Nick on the phone until we fell asleep!

So a day full of rest, sleep, and some travel!  Not a bad day in Italy I’d say!
